Ingredients

Tortillas & Coating
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted or avocado oil spray
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon high-quality preferred
Optional Serving Additions
  • confectioners sugar for dusting
  • cream cheese glaze optional

Equipment

  • Air Fryer,
  • cutting board,
  • Brush or Spray Bottle

Method

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
  2. Lay out flour tortillas and brush one side lightly but thoroughly with melted butter or spray with cooking spray.
  3. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the buttered side of each tortilla.
  4. Roll each tortilla tightly from one edge into a compact log. Slice each log into 4 equal pieces (pinwheels).
  5. Brush the cut sides and tops with remaining butter, then roll in remaining cinnamon sugar to coat heavily.
  6. Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Place rolls cut-side down in a single layer in the basket without overcrowding.
  7. Air fry for 7-8 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Check at 5 minutes for doneness preference.
  8. Remove from air fryer and dust with confectioners sugar while still warm. Serve immediately.
