These quick air fryer calzones deliver a crispy exterior and gooey interior in under 20 minutes, making them the perfect comfort food for busy weeknights.

Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 13.8 oz Pizza Dough refrigerated, or crescent dough
Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Marinara or Pizza Sauce plus extra for dipping
Cheese
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese low-moisture part-skim
  • 1/4 cup Ricotta Cheese optional
  • 1 tbsp Parmesan Cheese grated, for garnish
Seasonings
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 pinch Red Pepper Flakes
Protein
  • 1/2 cup Pepperoni diced
Other
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil for brushing

Method
 

Prep
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Spray the basket with non-stick cooking spray or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix mozzarella, ricotta (if using), Italian seasoning, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, and pepperoni.
  3. Roll out pizza dough and cut into 4 circles (about 6-7 inches each).
  4. On one half of each circle, add 1 tbsp sauce, then 2-3 tbsp filling, leaving a border.
  5. Fold dough over, press edges, and crimp with a fork. Brush tops with olive oil and cut slits.
  6. Place 2-3 calzones in air fryer, cook 8-12 minutes at 375°F, flipping halfway, until golden and cheese bubbly.
  7. Sprinkle with Parmesan and serve with extra sauce.

Notes
