Method
- Gently pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. This is a crucial step for achieving that beautiful crisp exterior. Place them on a clean plate or cutting board.
- In a small bowl, melt the unsalted butter. To the melted butter, add the minced garlic, fresh lemon juice, chopped parsley, dried oregano, sea salt, and black pepper. Stir everything together until well combined.
- Liberally brush the garlic butter mixture over the top and sides of each salmon fillet. Ensure each piece is well coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes. Preheating ensures even cooking and helps create that desirable crispy skin (if you’ve kept it on).
- Carefully place the salmon fillets in a single layer in your air fryer basket, ensuring there's enough space between them for air to circulate. Line with parchment paper if needed for easier cleanup.
- Cook the salmon for 8-12 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets and your desired doneness. For medium-rare, aim for 8-10 minutes. For well-done, 10-12 minutes. Internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C). No need to flip!
- Once cooked, use a spatula to carefully remove the salmon from the air fryer basket. Let it rest for a minute or two on a plate to allow juices to redistribute. Serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges, if desired.
