Ingredients
  

  • 16 oz cremini mushrooms or white button mushrooms, cleaned and halved or quartered if large
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced (about 2 tbsp)
  • 1 tsp dried parsley or 1 tbsp fresh, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • Fresh parsley chopped
  • red pepper flakes a sprinkle
  • grated Parmesan cheese

Method
 

  1. Prepare Your Mushrooms: Clean mushrooms gently with a damp paper towel or soft brush. Trim tough or dry stems if needed. Halve or quarter large mushrooms and place in a medium sized mixing bowl.
  2. Season Them with Love: Pour the olive oil or melted butter over mushrooms. Then, add minced garlic, dried parsley, dried thyme, kosher salt, and black pepper. Toss everything together until evenly coated. Let sit for a minute or two while air fryer preheats.
  3. Time to Air Fry: Preheat air fryer to 380°F (190°C). Arrange seasoned mushrooms in a single layer in air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd.
  4. Cook to Golden Perfection: Cook for 10 to 12 minutes. At the halfway point (around 5 or 6 minutes), shake the basket to redistribute mushrooms. Check for desired doneness and browned color.
  5. Serve and Garnish: Transfer hot mushrooms to a serving bowl. Add fresh parsley, red pepper flakes, or grated Parmesan cheese to taste. Serve immediately.
