Method
- In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, milk, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and any optional ingredients (onion or parsley).
- Use your hands or a spoon to gently mix all the ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can result in tough meatballs.
- Roll the meat mixture into evenly sized meatballs, about 1-1.5 inches in diameter.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes. This helps ensure even cooking.
- Place the meatballs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving a little space between each one. Avoid overcrowding, as this will prevent them from browning properly. You may need to cook them in batches.
- Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the meatballs are cooked through and browned on all sides. The internal temperature should reach 160°F (71°C).
- Remove the meatballs from the air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite sauce and sides.

Notes
Adjust seasonings to your taste, use a meat thermometer for best results, and avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for perfectly cooked meatballs. Variations include vegan, gluten-free, spicy, and Italian styles.
