- Pat the chicken completely dry with paper towels, removing giblets from the cavity.
- Mix together smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
- Drizzle olive oil over the chicken and massage it all over the surface.
- Rub the seasoning mix generously over the entire chicken.
- Stuff the cavity with lemon halves, smashed garlic, and optional fresh herbs.
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Place chicken breast-side down in the air fryer basket. Cook for 30 minutes.
- Flip the chicken breast-side up and continue cooking for another 20-30 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving.
