Ingredients

Air Fryer Salmon Ingredients
  • 1-2 salmon fillets about 6-8 oz each, skin on or off, wild-caught preferred
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika optional, but adds great flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • lemon wedges for serving
  • fresh parsley or dill for garnish, optional

Equipment

  • Air Fryer,
  • paper towels.
  • Small bowl

Method

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry thoroughly with paper towels to ensure crispy skin.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 3-5 minutes for best results (optional but recommended).
  3. Drizzle olive oil over both sides of the salmon fillets. In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, smoked paprika, dried dill, black pepper, and salt. Sprinkle the seasoning evenly over the salmon, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down (if applicable) in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd.
  5. Cook at 380°F (195°C) for 8-12 minutes, depending on fillet thickness: 8 minutes for 1" thick, up to 14 minutes for 1.5" thick. The salmon is done when it flakes easily and reaches 145°F (63°C) internally.
  6. Remove the salmon carefully and let rest for 2-3 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
  7. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over, garnish with fresh parsley or dill if desired, and serve immediately.
