Delicious and easy-to-make apple fritter bites that are perfect for any occasion. These bite-sized treats are filled with tender apple pieces and coated in a warm, cinnamon-spiced batter.

Ingredients
  

Apple Fritter Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Apple Filling
  • 2 medium apples peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

Prepare the Apple Filling
  1. In a bowl, combine the diced apples, lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon. Set aside.
Make the Batter
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Fold in the apple filling.
Cook the Fritter Bites
  1. Heat about 2 inches of oil in a skillet over medium heat to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Using a small cookie scoop or two spoons, drop rounded tablespoons of the batter into the oil. Fry for about 2 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. Remove the fritter bites from the oil and drain on paper towels.
Make the Glaze
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
  2. Dip each warm fritter bite into the glaze, allowing the excess to drip off.
  3. Place the glazed fritter bites on a wire rack to cool.

Notes
