Method
- Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave‑safe bowl in 30‑second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each Oreo into the melted chocolate to fully coat, then place on wax paper.
- While the chocolate is still wet, gently press two candy eyes onto the top of each Oreo.
- Roll out black fondant (or use licorice/cardstock) and cut out bat wings; attach wings to the sides of the Oreos while the chocolate is still soft (use a dab of melted chocolate if needed).
- Refrigerate the tray for about 15–20 minutes until the chocolate is set.
Notes
For a vegan version, use vegan Oreos and dairy‑free chocolate chips. Use mint‑flavored Oreos for a minty twist, or sprinkle Halloween‑themed decorations before the chocolate sets.
