Bat Oreos: Easy & Spooky Halloween Treats (No‑Bake!)

These Bat Oreos are the simplest Halloween treat no baking required, kid‑friendly, and ready in under 30 minutes. Double stuffed Oreos dipped in chocolate, decorated with candy eyes and bat wings adorably spooky fun!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 package Oreos (double‑stuff recommended)
  • 1 bag semi‑sweet chocolate chips
  • candy eyes
  • black fondant (or black licorice or cardstock) for wings

Equipment

  • microwave-safe bowl,
  • Piping bag or Ziploc bag
  • Wax paper
  • Knife or bat-shaped cutter

Method
 

  1. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave‑safe bowl in 30‑second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  2. Dip each Oreo into the melted chocolate to fully coat, then place on wax paper.
  3. While the chocolate is still wet, gently press two candy eyes onto the top of each Oreo.
  4. Roll out black fondant (or use licorice/cardstock) and cut out bat wings; attach wings to the sides of the Oreos while the chocolate is still soft (use a dab of melted chocolate if needed).
  5. Refrigerate the tray for about 15–20 minutes until the chocolate is set.

Notes

For a vegan version, use vegan Oreos and dairy‑free chocolate chips. Use mint‑flavored Oreos for a minty twist, or sprinkle Halloween‑themed decorations before the chocolate sets.
