Ingredients
  

Green Tea Base
  • 1/2 cup brewed green tea cooled
  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder optional if using brewed tea
Frozen Berries
  • 1 1/2 cups mixed berries frozen
Creamy Base
  • 1 medium banana ripe or frozen
  • 1 large handful of spinach or kale fresh
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt plain
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup milk almond, coconut, or any preferred milk
Optional Additions
  • 1-2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup optional
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flax seeds optional

Method
 

  1. Prepare your liquid base. If using brewed green tea, make sure it is completely chilled. Add milk to the blender first.
  2. If using matcha, sprinkle it over the milk and mix well before blending.
  3. Layer in the greens, yogurt, and banana. If the banana is not frozen, break it into chunks.
  4. Add the frozen berries on top. This is the heart of the smoothie.
  5. Secure the lid and blend on low speed first, then increase to high until completely smooth (45-60 seconds).
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.
