  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil neutral, like canola or grapeseed
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk or substitute with milk soured with 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
For the Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour unbleached
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
