Ingredients
  

Beef Mixture
  • 1.5 pounds ground beef 80/20 preferred
  • 1 onion medium, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder to taste
Big Mac Sauce
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • garlic powder, onion powder, paprika to taste
Toppings and Layers
  • 30 ounces tater tots frozen
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced pickles for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef. Drain excess grease.
  3. Add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, white vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika to create Big Mac sauce.
  5. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spread half of the Big Mac sauce, then the beef mixture, followed by half the cheddar cheese.
  6. Layer tater tots evenly, drizzle remaining Big Mac sauce, and sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until tater tots are golden and cheese is bubbly. Broil for 1-2 minutes if desired.
  8. Remove from oven, cool slightly, and garnish with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and diced pickles before serving.
