Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Frozen blueberries for color and antioxidants
  • 1 large Frozen banana for creaminess
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened almond milk or any milk you prefer
  • 1 tablespoon Blue spirulina powder for vibrant blue color
  • 1 handful Fresh spinach for nutrients
  • 1 tablespoon Chia seeds for fiber and omega-3s
  • 1 scoop Vanilla protein powder optional for extra protein
  • Toppings fresh berries, sliced banana, granola, coconut flakes, hemp seeds, goji berries, honey or maple syrup

Method
 

Prepare Ingredients
  1. Ensure your banana and blueberries are frozen solid.
  2. If using fresh fruit, add a handful of ice cubes.
Blend the Smoothie
  1. Pour the almond milk into your blender.
  2. Add the fresh spinach and chia seeds.
  3. Add the frozen banana, frozen blueberries, and blue spirulina powder.
  4. If using protein powder, add it now.
  5. Blend on low, then increase to high. Use the tamper to push ingredients down into the blades. Stop and scrape down the sides as needed.
  6. Adjust the consistency by adding more frozen banana or ice cubes if too thin, or a splash more milk if too thick.
Assemble the Bowl
  1. Divide the smoothie evenly between two bowls.
  2. Add your favorite toppings.
  3. Serve immediately.

Notes
