Prepare the Chicken
- In a mixing bowl, toss the chicken pieces with Cajun seasoning and olive oil until well coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the chicken in the air fryer basket and cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking halfway through, until cooked through and slightly charred. Set aside.
Make the Sauce
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil. Sauté the diced onion and bell pepper for 4-5 minutes until softened.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more, stirring frequently.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes to let flavors meld.
- Add the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for another 5 minutes to heat through.
Assemble and Serve
- Spoon the Cajun chicken mixture onto the split hamburger buns.
- Top with shredded lettuce and pickles if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes
