Method

Prep the Oven and Pan
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Create the Creamy Base
  1. Reduce heat to low. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire, salt, pepper, and paprika until smooth and heated.
Layer the Casserole
  1. Pour the beef mixture into the prepared dish. Sprinkle 1 cup shredded cheddar over the top.
Arrange the Fries
  1. Arrange frozen fries in an even layer over the cheese.
The First Bake
  1. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes until fries are partially crisp.
The Final Cheesing and Bake
  1. Sprinkle remaining 1 cup cheese over fries. Bake 5-10 more minutes until cheese is melted and bubbling, and fries are golden.
Rest and Serve
  1. Let rest 5 minutes. Garnish with parsley, diced tomatoes, or pickles if desired.

For extra crispiness, spray fries lightly with cooking spray before baking. Store leftovers in fridge up to 4 days or freeze base separately. Reheat in oven to maintain texture.
