Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 skull‑shaped buns (store‑bought or homemade)
  • 8 slices cheese (cheddar, American, or your favorite)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Season the ground beef with salt and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  3. Divide the beef into 8 equal portions and shape each into patties slightly larger than the buns.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium‑high heat and cook patties 4–5 minutes per side.
  5. Place a cheese slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to let it melt.
  6. Assemble: place each cheeseburger onto the bottom half of a skull bun, add toppings, then top with the other bun half.
  7. Arrange on baking sheet and warm in oven for 5–7 minutes until heated through.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy your spooky Halloween dinner!

Notes

Make patties ahead and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. To make vegan or gluten‑free, substitute plant‑based burger, dairy‑free cheese, or gluten‑free buns. Add a spicy twist with red pepper flakes or hot sauce.
