Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef 80/20 works best
  • 1 small Onion finely diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 1 can Biscuit Dough 16 oz refrigerated
  • 2 tablespoons Butter melted

Equipment

  • Large skillet,
  • Baking sheet
  • Mixing bowl

Method

Prepare the Beef Mixture
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent. Use a spatula to break the meat into small crumbles.
  3. Add the minced garlic, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
Assemble the Biscuit Bombs
  1. Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Flatten each biscuit into a 4-inch circle using your hands or a rolling pin.
  2. Place a heaping tablespoon of the beef and cheese mixture in the center of each biscuit circle.
  3. Carefully gather the edges of the dough and pinch them together at the top to seal the bomb. Make sure there are no gaps.
  4. Place the sealed bombs seam side down on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  5. Brush the tops with melted butter.
Bake and Serve
  1. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the biscuits are puffed and golden brown.
  2. Let them cool for 5 minutes before serving.
