                    Notes

These Chocolate Cherry Pancakes store beautifully. Let them cool completely on a wire rack to prevent them from becoming gummy. Once cool, stack them with a piece of parchment paper between each pancake to prevent sticking. Place them in an airtight container or a heavy-duty freezer bag. In the refrigerator, they will stay fresh for up to 3 days. For longer storage, you can freeze them for up to 2 months. When it is time to eat, I recommend using the toaster. It gives the edges a slight crispness that is just delightful. You can also reheat them in the microwave for 30 to 45 seconds, but the toaster truly preserves the texture of the Chocolate Cherry Pancakes better. If you use an air fryer, 325 degrees for two minutes works like a charm. Always add your fresh toppings like whipped cream or fresh cherries after reheating to keep things tasting fresh.
