Ingredients
  

  • 8 pieces Pastry shells Store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup Cherries Fresh or canned, pitted
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Kirsch liqueur Optional
  • 1 cup Heavy cream Warmed
  • 1 cup Dark chocolate Chopped
  • 1 cup Mascarpone cheese Cold
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Sliced almonds
  • 1 tbsp Chocolate shavings

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake pastry shells for 10-12 minutes until golden.
  2. Combine cherries, sugar, and kirsch in a saucepan. Simmer until thickened, then cool.
  3. Heat cream, then pour over chocolate. Stir until smooth. Cool slightly.
  4. Whip cream, mascarpone, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  5. Layer ganache, cherry filling, whipped cream, and top with almonds and chocolate shavings.
