Coconut Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients
  

Base
  • 1/2 cup Full Fat Coconut Milk or Coconut Cream frozen into an ice cube tray or chilled thoroughly
  • 2 medium Frozen Bananas sliced and frozen solid
  • 1/2 cup Frozen Tropical Fruit Blend mango chunks or pineapple pieces
  • 1/4 cup Greek Yogurt or Coconut Yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon Chia Seeds or Flax Seeds blended into the base or sprinkled on top
Toppings
  • 2 tablespoons Unsweetened Shredded Coconut lightly toasted
  • 1 handful Fresh Berries raspberries, blueberries, or sliced strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon Nut Butter almond butter or peanut butter

Method
 

Prepare the Base
  1. Place your frozen coconut milk cubes, frozen sliced bananas, and frozen mango chunks into the base of a high-speed blender.
  2. Pour in the Greek yogurt or plant-based coconut yogurt along with chia seeds and your choice of protein powder if using.
Blend
  1. Start blending on low, using the blender tamper tool to continuously push frozen fruit downward into the spinning blades.
  2. Once the fruit breaks apart, turn the speed up to medium-high for about fifteen to twenty seconds until smooth, glossy, and pale ivory.
Serve
  1. Using a silicone spatula, scoop the frozen coconut smoothie paste into pre-chilled bowls.
  2. Smooth the top surface gently with the back of a spoon to create a flat canvas for your decorations.
  3. Decorate your bowl with lines of fresh raspberries, sliced bananas, toasted coconut flakes, hemp hearts, and a generous swirl of almond butter.

Notes
