Equipment

  • Mason jars or parfait glasses,
  • measuring cups,
  • spoons.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese small curd for a smoother consistency
  • 1 cup mixed fresh fruits such as berries, bananas, or mango
  • ΒΌ cup granola for added crunch
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional, for added sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flax seeds optional, for extra nutrition
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare Your Ingredients: Start by washing and chopping your fruit if necessary. Berries like blueberries and strawberries work beautifully in parfaits, but you can also use bananas, peaches, or even tropical fruits like pineapple and kiwi for a more exotic flavor.
  • Layer the Parfait: In a glass or jar, add a few spoonfuls of cottage cheese as the base layer. Then, add a layer of fresh fruit. Sprinkle some granola on top of the fruit for that signature crunch. If desired, drizzle honey or maple syrup over the granola for a touch of sweetness.
  • Repeat Layers: Add another layer of cottage cheese, followed by more fruit and granola. Continue layering until your glass or jar is full.
  • Top and Serve: Finish with a final sprinkle of granola and a drizzle of honey, if desired. Garnish with chia seeds or flax seeds for extra fiber and nutrition, and add fresh mint leaves for a burst of color and flavor.

Notes

For best results, keep granola separate until serving to avoid sogginess. Parfaits can be made up to 2-3 days in advance.
