Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs Ground turkey 93% lean
  • 1 medium Onion diced
  • 2-3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Ground cumin
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 tsp Smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Black pepper
  • 1 can Fire-roasted diced tomatoes 14.5 oz
  • 1 cup Low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Honey

Method
 

  1. Place the diced onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Add the ground turkey to the slow cooker and season with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, oregano, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour in the fire-roasted diced tomatoes, chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, and honey. Stir to combine.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours. Stir occasionally and break up the turkey as needed.
  5. When done, stir and adjust seasonings to taste. Serve with your choice of taco shells or lettuce cups.
