  • 1 tsp Sweet Pickle Relish or white vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar Dijon or yellow, depending on your preference
  • pinch Mustard
  • pinch Smoked Paprika
Garlic Powder
  • 6 cups The Bowl Builders chopped
  • 2 large Romaine Lettuce diced
  • 1 cup Tomatoes sliced or chopped
  • 1 cup Dill Pickles sharp is best
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese optional, soak in water for 10 minutes to reduce bite
  • optional Red Onion cooked, crumbled bacon, sliced avocado, hard-boiled eggs
  • Optional additions essential for that deep, savory beef flavor

Equipment

  • Large skillet,
  • Mixing bowl

Method

Prepare the Special Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together all the special sauce ingredients: mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt), ketchup, relish, vinegar, mustard, paprika, and garlic powder. Taste and adjust for tang or sweetness. Cover and chill in the refrigerator while you cook the beef.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced yellow onion and cook until softened and translucent, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet. Break it up with a wooden spoon. Cook until it is completely browned and no pink remains, about 6 to 8 minutes. Drain off any excess grease.
  4. Stir in the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for another 2 minutes to infuse the flavors. Remove from heat.
Assemble the Bowls
  1. Divide the chopped Romaine lettuce among 4 serving bowls as the base.
  2. Top each bowl with a hearty serving of the hot, seasoned ground beef.
  3. Add diced tomatoes, chopped pickles, sliced red onions (if using), and shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Drizzle generously with the chilled special sauce. Serve immediately.
