  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Cake Topping
  • 15.25 oz yellow cake mix
  • 3/4 cup melted butter unsalted
  • 1/2 cup milk whole or buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine diced peaches, sugar, and cinnamon. Stir to coat peaches evenly.
  3. Pour peach mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.
  4. In another bowl, combine cake mix and melted butter until crumbly. Stir in milk and vanilla extract until just combined.
  5. Spoon batter evenly over peach mixture. Do not fully cover; leave some peaches exposed.
  6. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until topping is golden brown and peach filling is bubbly.
  7. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
