  • microwave-safe bowl,
  • Piping bag or Ziploc bag
  • Toothpick

Ingredients

  • 1 box brownie mix 18-20 oz, plus ingredients called for on the box – usually eggs, oil, and water
  • 1/2 cup funfetti sprinkles Use any funfetti color; for Halloween use orange, black, and purple sprinkles
  • 4 oz white chocolate chopped, can substitute with white chocolate chips or baking bar
  • 1 tablespoon milk or heavy cream Non-dairy milk can be used as a substitute
  • black gel food coloring used to tint white chocolate for spiderweb accents

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • Prepare the brownie batter according to the instructions on the box.
  • Gently fold in the funfetti sprinkles to the brownie batter without overmixing.
  • Pour the funfetti brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  • Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before frosting.
  • Melt the white chocolate with the milk or heavy cream in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Transfer the melted white chocolate to a piping bag or Ziploc bag with a small corner snipped off.
  • Pipe concentric circles of white chocolate on top of the cooled brownies, starting from the center and working outward.
  • Use a toothpick to drag lines from the center outwards to create a spiderweb effect around the circles.
  • Mix a tiny amount of black gel food coloring with a tablespoon of the remaining melted white chocolate to create a dark gray color.
  • Optionally, use another piping bag to trace some of the spiderweb lines with the tinted chocolate for accentuation.
  • Chill the brownies in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes to set.
  • Slice into squares and serve.
