- In two mason jars or airtight containers, divide and add the rolled oats, cocoa powder, chia seeds, and pinch of salt to each. Give a gentle shake or stir to mix evenly.
- Pour in the milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract over the dry ingredients into each jar.
- Secure the lids on the jars and shake vigorously for about 30-60 seconds to combine everything well. Ensure no clumps remain.
- Place the jars in the refrigerator and let them sit for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, for the oats to soften and thicken.
- In the morning, stir the oats in each jar to loosen. Serve directly from the jar or in bowls, topped with optional add-ins like berries, banana slices, nuts, or yogurt.
