Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder Dutch processed
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp espresso powder
Wet Ingredients
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter melted and cooled
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole milk or sour cream
Add-ins
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

Preheat and Prep
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and espresso powder.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk melted butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla and milk or sour cream.
  4. Gently fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in half of chocolate chips. Pour half batter into pan, drizzle with fudge sauce, then swirl gently.
  6. Pour remaining batter on top, sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips and drizzle with fudge.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  8. Cool in pan for 20 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
