Ingredients

Ground Beef Mixture
  • 1 lb Lean Ground Beef
  • 1/2 Yellow Onion finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
Garlic Butter Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons Melted Butter
  • 3 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Parsley chopped
Other Ingredients
  • 1 tube Refrigerated Pizza Dough or Crescent Sheet
  • 2 cups Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • Optional Toppings Diced Pickles, Lettuce, Tomato, Ketchup, Mustard, or Mayo for serving

Equipment

  • Large skillet,
  • Baking sheet
  • Mixing bowl
  • Wooden spoon

Method

Prepare the Ground Beef Mixture
  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a large baking sheet.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add your ground beef and diced onions. Use a wooden spoon to break the meat apart.
  3. As the beef browns, sprinkle in your garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, letting the liquid reduce until the meat is glossy and deeply flavored.
  4. Once the meat is cooked, drain any excess fat and let it cool slightly.
Prepare the Dough and Assemble Rollups
  1. Roll out your dough on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle. If using crescent dough, pinch the seams together.
  2. Spread the beef mixture evenly across the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the beef.
  3. Starting from the long edge, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Use a sharp serrated knife to cut the log into 12 even slices.
Bake and Serve
  1. Whisk together your melted butter, minced garlic, and parsley. Brush half of this garlic butter sauce over the tops of the rollups.
  2. Place the rollups cut side up on your prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, brushing on the remaining garlic butter halfway through.
  3. Once golden brown and the cheese is oozing, remove from the oven and serve with optional toppings.
