Prepare the Cauliflower
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Rinse the cauliflower head and pat it dry very well. Cut into bite-sized florets.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Add the cauliflower florets and toss until each piece is lightly coated.
- Pour the olive oil over the coated florets and toss again to distribute. Spread them in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Roast the Cauliflower
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and tender when pierced with a fork.
Make the Honey Garlic Sauce
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, grated ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Stir and let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Add the butter and stir until melted, creating a glossy, aromatic glaze.
Glaze the Cauliflower
- Once the florets are done, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the hot sauce over them and toss gently with a spatula until every piece is coated.
- Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately while the florets are still crispy on the outside and tender inside.

Notes
This recipe is a great way to use up a large head of cauliflower. It can be made vegan by substituting honey for maple syrup and butter for coconut oil. For extra crispiness, ensure the cauliflower is completely dry before coating.
