Method
- Melt the Butter: In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add Marshmallows: Add the marshmallows to the melted butter and stir constantly until completely melted. Remove from heat.
- Add Food Coloring: Divide the melted marshmallow mixture into three separate bowls. Add green food coloring to one bowl, purple to another, and orange to the third. Stir until the color is evenly distributed in each bowl. Ensure you do not add too much, aim for a gel consistency so it does not alter the consistency of the recipe.
- Incorporate Cereal: Gently fold 2 cups of Rice Krispies cereal into each bowl, ensuring the cereal is evenly coated with the colored marshmallow mixture. Mix slowly, scraping from the bottom- no need to rush!
- Press into Pan: Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper. Transfer each colored mixture into the prepared pan, pressing down gently and evenly.
- Add Candy Eyeballs: Immediately sprinkle candy eyeballs over the top of each color while the mixture is still slightly soft. This will allow the eyeballs to stick in place.
- Cool and Cut: Let the Rice Krispie treats cool completely before cutting them into squares or spooky shapes.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve these spooky snacks at your next Halloween bash! Guests will be both delighted and somewhat spooked at these Halloween themed food treats.

Notes
Get creative with different colors and shapes! Use Halloween-themed cookie cutters for spooky shapes or add Halloween sprinkles for extra flair. Avoid overcooking marshmallows to keep the treats soft and chewy.
