- Scoop the 4 cups of vanilla ice cream into the blender.
- Pour in the 1 cup of whole milk.
- Add the 1 teaspoon of peppermint extract and the 8 to 10 drops of green food coloring.
- Place the lid on the blender and blend on high for about 30 to 45 seconds, or until the mixture is smooth and uniformly green.
- Remove the lid and add 1 cup of crushed Oreo cookies. Using a long spoon or spatula, gently stir and fold the cookie pieces into the minty base.
- Immediately pour the mixture into two tall glasses.
- Top each glass with a generous swirl of whipped cream, an extra sprinkle of crushed Oreos, and a cherry if desired. Serve right away with a spoon and a straw.
