Ingredients

  • 1 cup ripe papaya peeled, seeded, and cubed
  • 1 cup pineapple fresh or frozen, cubed
  • 1 ripe banana peeled
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk or water/almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave (optional)
  • 4 ice cubes ice cubes

Method

  1. Prepare your fruit: peel and cube the ripe papaya, removing any seeds. Trim and dice the pineapple. Peel and break the banana into pieces.
  2. Pour the coconut milk or water into the blender first, to help the blades move freely and prevent ingredients from getting stuck.
  3. Add the softer ingredients, such as papaya chunks, banana, and optional spinach or kale.
  4. Add harder or frozen ingredients, including the pineapple and ice cubes.
  5. Squeeze in the fresh lime juice, add grated ginger if using, and drizzle in honey or agave if desired.
  6. Blend on low speed for 10 seconds, then increase to high speed for 45-60 seconds until completely smooth and creamy.
  7. Pour into a glass and serve immediately. Adjust sweetness or tartness to taste.
