Ingredients

  • 2 large Frozen Bananas peeled, sliced into coins, and frozen solid for at least six hours
  • 3 tablespoons Creamy Natural Peanut Butter pure, unsalted
  • 3-4 tablespoons Milk of Choice unsweetened almond milk, coconut milk, oat milk, or dairy milk
  • 1/4 cup Greek Yogurt or Plant Based Yogurt plain or vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon Chia Seeds or Flax Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Optional Sweetener pure maple syrup or raw honey
  • Topping Ideas fresh sliced fruit, crunchy granola, chia seeds, cacao nibs, toasted coconut flakes, sliced almonds, and a drizzle of extra peanut butter

Equipment

  • Blender,
  • Bowl

Method

  1. Pour the liquid element, unsweetened almond milk or your choice of milk, into the base of a high powered blender or heavy duty food processor.
  2. Dollop in the creamy natural peanut butter, plain Greek yogurt, chia seeds, ground cinnamon, and maple syrup if using.
  3. Add the frozen banana coins evenly over the top of the liquid and yogurt mixture.
  4. Begin blending on the lowest speed setting. Use the tamper tool that came with your blender to continuously push the frozen bananas down into the blades.
  5. Once the bananas break down into small, icy crumbles, increase the speed to medium high. Blend for another 40 to 60 seconds until the mixture transforms into a smooth, glossy swirl.
  6. Stop blending and test the texture with a spoon. The blend should be exceptionally thick, holding its shape without slumping.
  7. Scoop the thick, frosty blend into a shallow chilled ceramic bowl. Use the back of a spoon to smooth out the surface, creating a gentle swirl or groove where toppings can sit neatly.
  8. Arrange your chosen toppings carefully across the top. Sprinkle crunchy granola down the center, line up fresh sliced fruit along the sides, and scatter chia seeds or hemp hearts for contrast. Finish with a warm drizzle of melted peanut butter across the entire bowl and serve immediately.
