Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef lean grass fed beef
  • 4 large Eggs pasture raised
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 packet Taco seasoning sugar free
  • 2 cups Cheddar cheese freshly shredded sharp cheddar
  • 1 medium Onion finely diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 can Green chilis diced mild
  • 1 cup Salsa chunky

Equipment

  • Slow Cooker
  • Mixing bowl
  • skillet,
  • Pie Plate

Method

Prepare the Ingredients
  1. Add the ground beef and diced onion to the skillet. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are soft and translucent.
  2. Stir in the garlic and your sugar free taco seasoning pie mix. Let the spices toast for about a minute until the fragrance fills the kitchen. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
  3. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream. This mixture should be pale yellow and smooth. Incorporate the green chilis into this liquid base.
Assemble the Pie
  1. Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese over the meat. Pour the egg and cream mixture slowly over the top, ensuring it seeps into all the nooks and crannies of the beef.
  2. Top with the remaining cheese. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the center is set and the edges are golden like late summer sun.
  3. Allow the pie to rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing. This patience ensures clean slices and locked in juices.
