Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 2-3 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs can substitute bone-in, skin-on chicken but adjust cooking time
  • 1 packet (1 oz) dry Italian dressing mix
  • 1 packet (1 oz) dry ranch dressing mix
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or water, can substitute vegetable broth
  • 1/4 cup butter melted, optional for extra richness

Equipment

  • Crockpot
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Method
 

  1. Spray the inside of your crockpot with non-stick cooking spray for easy cleanup.
  2. Place the chicken breasts or thighs in the bottom of the crockpot in a single layer.
  3. Sprinkle the Italian dressing mix and ranch dressing mix evenly over the chicken to coat thoroughly.
  4. Pour the chicken broth around the chicken. If using butter, drizzle melted butter over the top.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until chicken is cooked through and easily shreddable.
  6. Use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the crockpot once cooked.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes
