Method
- Preheat Your Traeger Grill:
- Set your Traeger grill to 350°F (177°C) and preheat with your choice of wood pellets (alder or applewood work well for fish).
- Prepare the Fish:
- Rinse the fish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Brush the fillets with olive oil on both sides to prevent sticking and to enhance the flavor.
- In a small bowl, mix the Traeger Blackened Saskatchewan Rub, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over the fish fillets, coating both sides.
- Grill the Fish:
- Place the seasoned fish fillets directly on the grill grates, skin side down if applicable.
- Close the lid and grill for 10-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
- During the last few minutes of grilling, place lemon slices on top of each fillet for an extra burst of citrus flavor.
- Serve:
- Remove the fish from the grill and transfer to a serving platter.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and a squeeze of grilled lemon juice.
- Serve immediately with your favorite sides, such as grilled vegetables or a fresh salad.
