- Measure out 9 cups of Chex cereal into a very large bowl. Get a large, 2-gallon zip-top bag and add the 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar. Set aside.
- In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine the semisweet chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Remove and stir. If not completely smooth, microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until melted and creamy. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the Chex cereal in the large bowl. Gently fold and stir until evenly coated.
- Carefully transfer the coated cereal into the zip-top bag with the powdered sugar. Seal securely, leaving some air inside. Shake vigorously for 1-2 minutes until fully covered.
- Pour onto a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread into a single layer to cool.
- Place green candy melts in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring, until melted and smooth.
- Drizzle melted green candy over the puppy chow. Immediately scatter sprinkles on top.
- Let sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes until set. Break apart clumps and serve.
